WISA GRANTS
This year we have seen an increasing interest by individuals, groups and organizations to support WiSA related activities. There has also been interest in supporting and mentoring female trainees in medical school and in surgery. We would like to thank our current partners for their continued support this year- the Association of Women Surgeons (AWS) and The Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland (RCSI) in their provision of travel grants to the annual WiSA event and COSECSA scientific conference this year.

RCSI-WISA Travel Grant
This Grant is aimed at encouraging and supporting Female Surgical Trainees. Available two (2) Grants.
Shield Maiden Award
This WiSA good will ambassador grant is offered by Dr. Agneta Odera. One (1) Grant Available.
AWS-WiSA Travel Grant
The Association of Women Surgeons (AWS) of the United States have made available 2 Travel Grants this year.

The awards are offered by WiSA to an outstanding male and female mentor in the COSECSA region…
WOMEN IN SURGERY RESEARCH GRANT (WISURG)
The overall objective is to foster the development of the next generation of female
leaders in surgical research and practice in the COSECSA region.
